Since June 1st, 2016 we are BSCI member (Business Social Compliance Initiative)

We take responsibility, even when selecting our suppliers. Therefore, we take great importance to compliance with social standards in the production of our products and committed us to comply with the BSCI Code of Conduct. The BSCI Code of Conduct is based on international conventions such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the guidelines of children's rights and Entrepreneurial Action, the United Nations 'Economic and Human Rights' guidelines, the OECD Guidelines and the UN Global Compact and the Conventions and Recommendations International Labour Organization (ILO), which are relevant to improving Working conditions in the supply chain.

In August 2012, Macma successfully achieved ISO9001 certification. (Recertification 2020)

In the course of the certification, the internal processes were considered and evaluated.

Decisive for the certification is the adherence to basic criteria, which are the basis for a functioning and successful company. Our customers can benefit from our certified company structure, as it offers efficient processes in the processing of orders. We always strive to improve and expand the smooth processes within the processes in order to constantly increase customer satisfaction.

We are supported by DEKRA Consulting GmbH, which also carries out regular audits in our company.

The packaging licensing is compulsory for both manufacturers and distributors of sales packaging, according to the Packaging Act (VerpackG) in force from January 1st, 2019. A packaging license must always be requested if the dealer or manufacturer acts as a so-called initial distributor.

In concrete terms, this means that for the first filling of sales packaging with goods, only cartons or other forms of packaging licensed in advance in a dual system may be used. Conversely, the dual systems ensure the professional collection, sorting and recycling of the packaging placed on the market and ultimately disposed of by the private final consumer.

MACMA guarantees that all delivered sales packing made of plastic containing goods, which typically result at the private final consumer or other similar accumulation place, is licensed under the regulation of the dual disposal system under the customer number 5555442.

Thus MACMA is fulfilling §6 of the fifth novella of the packing regulation. Nevertheless, our products are not marked with the Green Point.

The resulting paper cardboard boxes are registered at the RESY Organisation for Valuable Material Regulation and are marked with the RESY symbol at the large and small packing. The identification number 10856 confirms MACMA oHG as registered member. Thus all our packing is registered at the RESY Disposal System and guarantees an environmental-friendly disposal.

Furthermore MACMA also confirms that all electrical products which are subject to the EU law 2002/95/EC, are produced suitable to ROHS and correspond to all legal obligations. Our electrical products, which are subject to this regulation, are labelled with the following symbol on the item or the packing:

ROHS:
“Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.”

The use of the WEEE number „DE 72005675“, which you can find on every electrical item or its packing, is also liable to pay the costs. The fees are paid to the responsible office “Foundation for Old Electrical Appliances Register”.

With the additional registration of our goods at the eds-r GmbH/Rücknahmesystem the circuit is closed again and thus a professional disposal guaranteed. This enables your customers to hand the electronic scrap over to various collection stations or other designated facilities.

Disposal costs for batteries which you have to pay for electronic items are paid over to the foundation GRS under the registration number 9901254. Thus the customer is assured when buying items, that he can give back the batteries at any dealer, who also deals with batteries.

AEO certification

The European Community has acknowledged Macma the 16th of December 2011 as Authorised Economic Operator. This certification is only awarded to specially reliable and trustworthy companies. The AEO certification (AEO – Authorised Economic Operator) implicates numerous simplifications in Customs Law, primarily concerning customs controls.

The label Confidence in Textiles (also the Confidence in Textiles logo) is one of the best-known quality certificates in Germany and applies to textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of processing. Tested in accordance with the Öko-Tex Standard 100 (also Oeko-Tex Standard 100) means that the product has been tested for a total of 100 harmful substances, optical brighteners or similar. This applies not only to the outer fabric, but also to all other components of the product. Products on which an Oeko-Tex® certification is intended, must therefore meet certain requirements and standards. The certificate exists only since 1992 and was introduced by the Hohenstein Institute together with the Institute for Ecology, Technology and Innovation. At the same time as this Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate was issued, a globally uniform quality assurance system was introduced for both manufacturers and retailers. It is intended to take account of the declining share of in-house production in the production of goods in individual companies in the textiles sector. It is also intended to ensure uniform assessment standards in different regions worldwide.
